The Interruption is a dynamic live hip hop/r&b band from NYC, Harrisburg, and Lancaster City. It is a creative project of singer-songwriter Douglas Thomas in collaboration with four other stellar musicians. Benjamin Weiss (AKA Teheru) is the rapper and co-writer of the songs. Michael Ray Fisher (Broadway singer) provides lead vocals. DeJuan Rosado (AKA Spoken Musik) is well known in the local gospel scene and delivers the drums. Emmanuel Nsingani is a bassist from the Congo who was named best new jazz artist of Central PA Music Hall of Fame. Together, they create a unique blend of soulful and jazzy sounds. Their debut 5-song EP Foreplay was released in 2022 and is available for streaming. The first single is “dreaming of you.”
