This staged reading is adapted from Artie Van Why’s personal remembrance of the tragic events in New York City on September 11th, 2001.

That Day In September is Artie Van Why’s personal remembrance of the tragic events in New York City on September 11th, 2001. From the moment he hears a loud boom in his office across from the World Trade Center and then steps into the street, his memoir vividly transports the audience back to the day that changed our country and all of our lives. That Day In September takes the audience beyond the events of that morning. By sharing Van Why’s thoughts, fears, and hopes, you will know what it was like to be in New York City in the weeks and months that followed. The audience will come away from the play with not only a more intimate understanding of that day’s events, but also with a personal glimpse of how one person’s life was dramatically changed forever.
