SHADOWLAND is Lancaster’s monthly dark alternative dance ritual where DJ STYGIAN and guest DJs from near and far dare you to shake off that boring human suit and unleash your inner monster. Genres range from darkwave, EBM, goth, and industrial to dark/alt pop, electro, phonk, post punk, synthwave, and so, so much more. The limit, as poet laureate Cady Heron said, does not exist.

We’re thrilled to be joined by last year’s Pride co-captain, DJ co-summoner, RAVEN DE LA NOIR!! Our dance familiars are powerhouse gogo duo NEBULA NOVA and LEGS AKIMBO, plus TYLER RYAN on photos!

Because pirates, like cowboys, are notoriously frequently secretly fond of each other, we tried something a little different for Pride last year: PRIDE ON THE HIGH SEAS. Y’all really dug (and expanded on!!) that idea, and we don’t believe in reinventing a perfectly good waterwheel when we see one.
Instead, we’re broadening things a little. For year 2 of PRIDE ON THE HIGH SEAS, we’re inviting all our queer seafaring fam both factual and fictional to the dance floor, from pirates (naturally) to vikings to sirens to trans icon, the manatee and other trans icon, A Sexy Jellyfish Shaped Suspiciously Like Legs.Not feeling like a pirate but want an excuse to wear that Renaissance Faire statement piece that doesn’t take up an inordinate amount of dance floor room? This is the month to do it!

Not feeling a theme at all? FUCK IT! If a month has a theme, it’s just a prompt for fun – never an expectation.
