You asked, and we finally answered! Silent Book Club is here! We always felt that we just don’t have the room for you all to fully *lounge* for a silent book club at Pocket Books, but you know who does have maximum lounging space? The theatre at Zoetropolis!

So here’s our plan: we’ll set up a mini book fair at Zo on Thursday 7/3 from 5-8pm, and you can buy a book there or bring one from home. Then, you have free reign of the theatre room, so pick you favorite couch or armchair to curl up in and read in peace! You can even order drinks and dinner to eat in there–is there a better, gentler way to say that you left your house today than just getting to go quietly read a book in public without anyone thinking it’s weird at all?? It absolutely counts as “going out” and “being social”–we promise! Bring a friend or come alone–no one cares!

And for our extroverts–we’ll be hanging in the Snug (the lobby outside the theatre) the whole time, so feel free to chit chat and mingle out there if silent reading isn’t your thing—Lancaster’s Gayest Happy Hour will also be happening at the same time in the restaurant and patio!
