Run Time: 120 min.

Eight shorts in the “folk horror” / “fairy tale” vein, from some of the best filmmakers working in the zone between genre and arthouse:
  • Peter Strickland (IN FABRIC, THE DUKE OF BURGUNDY)
  • Agnieszka Smoczynska (THE LURE)
  • Veronika Franz & Severin Fiala (GOODNIGHT MOMMY)
  • Can Evrenol (BASKIN)
  • Katrin Gebbe (NOTHING BAD CAN HAPPEN)
  • Calvin Reeder (THE RAMBLER)

Representing Austria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Poland, Turkey, and the U.S., last year’s SXSW hosted the World Premiere of the anthology. The film focuses on dark folklore. Created to give logic to mankind’s darkest fears, these stories and others laid the foundation for what we now call the horror genre.
